Very unprofessional. Spoke with staff over the phone. Provided all requested information, including possible surname(s) of other party. Was assured that things checked out and there was no conflict of interest. I was then given a date to speak with a solicitor a week later. Upon arrival and giving the staff member the requested information, I was told "I'm sorry. There's a conflict of interest. Didn't anyone call you?" This "sevice" is a staggering case of incompetence. How is it possible to be told one week that there is no conflict of interest and then told that there is one at the appointment when one has taken a day off work? Giving an aggrieved party a list of other solicitors (when it is too late to get an appointment before one's court date) is useless. Saying you are "sorry" is also not enough.More care and diligence is required, as you are dealing with PEOPLE'S LIVES!!
