My mother and I first engaged Shannon McLaughlin of CJM Lawyers when we were entrusted with the roles of Power of Attorney for my uncle after his Alzheimer's diagnosis. We had no prior experience in this capacity, and Shannon was an invaluable source of comfort and guidance. He helped us through the emotionally challenging process of placing my uncle in a nursing home, managing the sale of his home, and handling both his financial and health affairs. Throughout it all, Shannon remained approachable, patient, and extraordinarily kind, making a difficult time much more bearable for us. After my uncle passed away, we had the pleasure of working with Eva McLaughlin for the probate process. My mother and I adore Eva—she is so thoughtful, kind, and patient. I had no prior understanding of probate or the time it would take, but Eva patiently answered all our questions and provided direction. By this time, my mother was very ill, and we were deeply grateful to have Eva’s support. Jack, just like Shannon and Eva, was consistently patient and exceptionally kind. When he encountered something beyond his expertise, he would promptly and professionally refer us back to Shannon. For the final stages of the estate distribution, we worked with Charlie Milligan. Charlie, like her colleagues, was professional, courteous, and kind. She was extremely efficient in her role, offering excellent advice on the final tax return and distribution process. She kept in regular contact, followed up diligently, and demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the process.
