Thiagus Cheliah started the firm in 2016. He was admitted as a lawyer in New South Wales in 2000 and in the Northern Territory in 2003. He worked at Deacons in Sydney, now Norton Rose Fulbright Australia, and from 2004 at Ward Keller in Darwin.

Before he became a lawyer, he worked as an accountant. He is a CPA and an SMSF Specialist, which shapes his advice on trusts, self managed super funds and tax.

Darwin NT Lawyers has one office at Level 1, 21/24 Cavenagh Street, Darwin City. The firm acts for clients across the Northern Territory.

The firm acts on business purchases and sales, franchises, shareholder and partnership agreements, and business succession. It also handles commercial and residential leases, property purchases and sales, and land tenure issues.

It prepares wills and estate plans, drafts trust deeds and investigates deceased estates. Thiagus Cheliah is a CPA SMSF Specialist, and the firm advises on SMSF law and tax. The firm does not practise criminal or family law.
