Took Pepper money 14 days to instruct Gallilee thenn took Gallilee a further 17 days to discharge the mortgage. No email notification, of settlement I had to call and ask if completed. Now have to wait another 7-10 days to get title. Way too long

Galilee provided clear communication on every step of the settlement process and always promptly responded to any queries.

1. Galilee provided grossly inaccurate settlement figures on my Final Settlement Statement (off by 150%). I ended up having to source all the information and perform the calculations myself, then request for Galilee to make the changes. Luckily I was on the ball, otherwise I would have had insufficient funds in the account and would have had to pay relevant bank charges. 2. Galilee then tried to rush settlement despite not everything being in place. Per the outcome of the final property inspection, and per the advice from my buyer's agent, there was insufficient evidence that there were no electrical issues in the property. As such, we decided to delay settlement until it could be satisfactorily confirmed that there were no electrical issues. Even though I advised that we were still waiting on an electrical check and that settlement wouldn’t proceed on the planned date, Galilee tried to proceed anyway. It was incredibly frustrating being called shortly before the original planned time, insisting that we should be proceeding, contrary to the advice received from my buyer’s agent and contrary to the outcome of the final property inspection. I was then repeatedly hassled with phone calls while at work the following 2 days, requesting my confirmation to proceed, despite me stating several times that the electrical check was still outstanding and that I would advise as soon as I received confirmation that all was okay. 3. The past few months since settlement I have received several overdue water rates notices in the mail. This was surprising as Galilee had done their 'due diligence' and calculated the outstanding water rates and charges at settlement, and my settlement figure accounted for my fair portion of the amount 'already paid' by the previous owner. I should have realised sooner that their work couldn't be trusted and that would be the source of the problem. I have today paid the outstanding amount that wasn't paid by the previous owner, and forwarded the bill to Galilee. Hopefully they do the right thing and reimburse me out of the fees I paid for the service that I pretty much ended up having to provide to myself. Overall, my experience with this firm was quite negative. I felt they acted unprofessionally, negligently, and gave priority to their own interests over mine.

I was very happy with the whole experience with Galilee Purchasing a home is always a challenge in the best of times but this market has taken it to a new level. With Galilie KWIL solution the e docs were extremely fast and easy to navigate to complete our mortgage docs and be ready for settlement same day. The technology is fundamental these days in the finance journey but there is still a need for that personal customer experience and Kathie was extremely helpful in this regard to assist with the refinance side to navigate some obstacles along the way. Overall we are very happy with our new home and thank Galilee with helping us get there 😊
