Headstart Legal helps Muslim community organisations, charities, start-ups and growing businesses in Sydney with their legal needs. It also acts for individuals on immigration, wills and estates, and property matters.

The firm launched in 2022 and says it was Australia's first law firm set up to support the Muslim community. Its work is guided by Islamic values, and it declines matters that conflict with them, such as those involving interest (riba).

Founder and principal solicitor Abdulla Rahhal has been admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales since 2013. He has worked in-house and in the not-for-profit sector.

Headstart Legal has offices at Level 13, 111 Elizabeth St, Sydney, and Level 49, 8 Parramatta Square, Parramatta. It serves clients across Sydney and New South Wales.

The firm's main work is commercial and corporate law, not-for-profit and charity law, employment law, immigration, wills and estates, and property. It acts for both employers and employees in employment matters.

It prepares wills that follow Shariah requirements. Its not-for-profit work covers set-up, governance, compliance and disputes. The team includes principal solicitor Abdulla Rahhal and a junior solicitor.
