Inner City Legal Centre

Inner City Legal Centre is a not-for-profit community legal centre that gives free legal help to eligible people in Sydney's inner city, north shore and eastern suburbs. It also offers employment law advice to vulnerable workers anywhere in New South Wales.

The centre runs services for LGBTQI+ people, trans and gender diverse people, and sex workers. It helps with problems such as harassment, discrimination, debt, traffic matters and fines, domestic or sexual violence, and ID and name changes.

Most advice is given by phone. People can use the online enquiry form to check whether the centre can help. Financial eligibility rules apply.

The office is in the Kings Cross Library and Neighbourhood Centre at 50-52 Darlinghurst Road, near Potts Point. The centre serves residents of Sydney's inner city, north shore and eastern suburbs. Its employment law advice is open to eligible people across New South Wales.

The centre's main work is free legal help for LGBTQI+ people, trans and gender diverse people, and sex workers. Its solicitors also advise on employment problems such as unfair dismissal, unpaid wages, sham contracting, general protections and discrimination. It does not advise on workers compensation. Other help includes harassment or vilification, debt, traffic and fines, and domestic or sexual violence.
