I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Legal Aid. As a victim of family and domestic violence I expected better. The lawyers I interacted with seemed ineffective and offered more excuses than solutions. When I raised my concerns, the legal aid workers were unresponsive and lacked empathy. It's troubling to see taxpayer dollars being used in a way that feels wasteful and unproductive. I wouldn't wish the lawyers here on anyone facing family or domestic violence issues. Unfortunately, it seems that the support for vulnerable individuals is lacking. In summary, my experience with Legal Aid has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel let down by a system that should be there to help those in need.
Absolutely disgusting. The women there are the rudest people. Have no care about how things will affect children
Only pushes what is "best". Doesn't fully defend your rights, constantly, lie, and make excuses. If there is information that is valuable to your case, you will not use it. You are expected to all the work. Btw don't email them anything just take it in yourself to the office as they charge you for printing.
I cannot compliment enough for these amazing team at Legal Aid. My case needed immediate attention and was time sensitive. Admist the holidays, they literally assisted and guided me through my application to a successful outcome. I would like to thank Sam, Amanda, Shelby and all those people who assisted with my file. Thank you!
Absolutely useless, 2 years wait for a Lawyer but it turns out 3 charged the taxpayer for nothing, I never even met them, the Hayley cut the funding to cover her ineptitude even after getting me to write to the Legal Practice Board in relation to all 3 lawyers, that is the level of spineless you will encounter at Legal Aid Perth.I am beginning to wonder if modern staffers are grown in a Petrie dish as apposed to raised by loved ones these days.
