Legal Guru
About
Legal Guru helps individuals, families and business owners with property, business, family and immigration law. Its solicitors handle conveyancing themselves, rather than passing it to conveyancers.
The firm describes itself as a boutique practice. Clients get partner-level attention, and the team speaks English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. Many clients are migrant families buying a first home or starting a business.
Work includes buying and selling homes, off-the-plan purchases, commercial property, business sales, leases, wills, divorce and visa applications.
Geographic Focus and Office Locations
Legal Guru lists offices and service areas in Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast. Its conveyancing work covers Queensland, the ACT, New South Wales and Victoria. The listing is based in Dickson, Canberra.
Notable Expertise or Industry Focus
The firm does conveyancing for home buyers, sellers, investors and commercial property clients, including first home buyers and off-the-plan purchases. Reviews
A few years ago, I utilized their conveyancing services and was very satisfied with the solicitor, Roneel, who was professional and completed the settlement promptly. However, when I approached them recently, the experience was disappointing. It seems the firm has lost the professionalism it once had, possibly due to an increase in business, and it appears they no longer prioritize customer care. Unlike other solicitors who review contracts and clarify all special conditions before signing to safeguard against potential issues, the solicitor from Legal Guru, Lois, demanded payment first and required two business days after payment to provide any feedback. After shopping around, I found better alternative conveyancing services. If you value your time, I suggest steering clear of this firm.
