The Legal Services Commission is the legal aid organisation for South Australia. It helps people who need legal advice, a lawyer at court or help with family disputes, and it does much of this for free.

People can call the free Legal Helpline, apply for legal aid to have a lawyer represent them in court, or get help from a duty lawyer at many court locations.

The Commission also offers family dispute resolution, child support services and free community legal education. Its Law Handbook and plain English factsheets explain the law in South Australia.
