Maurice Blackburn Cairns

Maurice Blackburn Cairns helps people in Far North Queensland who have been hurt at work, on the road or in a public place. The team also acts for people with employment problems, will disputes, insurance and superannuation claims.

The Cairns office has 12 specialist lawyers. It is part of Maurice Blackburn, a national firm that has been running since 1919. Clients can start with a free claim check.

The team volunteers at local legal centres, including the Cairns Community Legal Centre, and works with local groups across the region.

The office is at 71 McLeod Street, Cairns City. The lawyers also see clients at visiting offices in Mareeba on the Tablelands and Innisfail on the Cassowary Coast. Maurice Blackburn has more than 30 offices across Australia.

The Cairns team mainly handles work injury, road injury and public place injury claims, including workers compensation and car accident claims. It also helps with industrial deafness, insurance and superannuation claims, employment issues, will disputes and class actions. Maurice Blackburn offers one-hour fixed-fee employment consultations. The website lists lawyers who speak several languages across the firm.
