Do not use Patrick Legal. They do not work to the required Legal Practice Board Standards and generate work to make themselves money rather than working to client instructions. Always ask for itemized invoicing. BEWARE

Had an appointment in Fremantle. Thankfully now I’ve found another lawyer for my divorce. Can’t work out why they take your money for the initial consult and then do not get back to you? If you don’t want to take a case on, please just have the decency to let the client know. I had emailed again asking if Patrick legal would like to take my case on and still no reply. At this stage I’m wondering if it’s even legitimate as the building was some average old room with a 90s school table and two chairs. I just gave up and found another lawyer.

I would highly recommend Basil Chang, who helped me during a very complicated civil matter. He is knowledgeable, very informative and was transparent. Once a mutual trust had arised through honesty and evidence he had shown a remarkable and genuine degree of care - which did help, considering the complexity of the situation, especially to folk like myself who'd never been inside a court room before! That is my review of Basil Chang during a civil matter. I have no other experiences to share so just be mindful that my pleasant experience may not be similar for everybody, as there is not a 24 hour phone number to call if you did ever need to. That's far as I am / was aware anyway. Also, remember I am only highly recommending one lawyer since I didn't meet / use another. The absence on a 24 hour number is why I'm giving [4 stars] only.

My father's mental health is deteriorating rapidly and Patrick Legal are managing his divorce. Any lawyer would find this hard given the difficulties with the client. HOWEVER. They refuse to engage. As one of the few people that act on behalf of my Dad they have failed to SIMPLY ring me back over the past six months. Over that time my Dads mental capacity has reduced so much more. All the while he has been homeless having not got access to the money due to the (now) significantly delayed process. Despite me offering to be case guardian with their clients approval they still refuse to call back. Which has put my Dad and our family under incredible pressure. I am at a loss how to resolve it as they refuse to deal with me - preferring to deal with a mentally impaired man drawing significantly more costs and putting him far worse off position. In my experience they have lost touch with the importance of the profession and failed at the most basic foundations of any business - communication and perseverance. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Very poor customer service. Don't follow through, forget to do as they say and do not return phone calls. All they wanted was to be paid when we met with representative in Gosnell's before we even discussed our requirements. They even rang the day before our appointment requesting payment. (currently seeking advice as to the legal right to request said payment) I would suggest using someone else as I cannot and will not recommend Patrick Legal. P.S still waiting for phone call to discuss my compliant but nothing...typical unfortunately. Richard Knight
