The most appalling service. I attended the Thursday night service to be told that I couldn’t be helped due to the dimension of my matter, which I understood. They only had another appointment available in 3 weeks time, which I equally understood and patiently waited for. On the day, I arrive and this very arrogant, blonde short lady that I wish I knew the name of, approaches me asking what I was there for. I explained and she told me to wait. 2 minutes later comes back and tells me where to go. Once I started saying why I was there for she started talking over the top of me, in a very condescending way, and continue to say that she didn't have the time to help me and she didn’t think she was able to. No soft skills whatsoever and not remotely interested to help at all. Lady, I don’t think anybody has pointed a gun to your head to be working at a legal centre, all you are doing is perpetrating the emotional abuse on all the people that walk through that door have gone through most likely in the hands of other people. So please pull your head in and go and work somewhere else , because nobody deserves to deal with your lack of professionalism, compassion and care. I think the most appropriate job for you would be to clean toilets and bathrooms where you don’t need to speak to anyone therefore no opportunity to cause any further damage.
I am for greatful for your help and support l truly appreciate the work that you guys do thank you so much 🙏
I had just read an ABC news item that had a recording of a heartless woman who was rung on a mental health help line and her disgusting responses to a person needing help contributed to that person's death. I was asking for community legal for something that would take a minute or so to resolve and the person I was talking to was happy to take far longer and fob me off for a month or more and waste far more of a solicitor's time . All she had to do as a common sense approach was to find out the correct form for me to use to do the work myself for a QCAT case. I just needed the form number for applying for a substitute service because the con man who ripped me off would not give his address. QCAT accepted a substitute email service and so will the court. All I needed was to be told which form to use and I will do all the rest. I was not jumping the queue. It would have saved so much wasted time by just asking a solicitor this simple question. Everywhere you turn these days , there are people like this. They seem incapable of basic common sense and are like robots. I apologise for swearing at this woman and concede this was wrong, however I really thought QCAT was meant to make it easier for people to get justice. That may have been the intention but all the humans that should be there to assist in the process have protected the con man by their stupidity, laziness and indifference over more than two years now. No advice or wrong advice seems to be what they think they get paid for.
Excellent service. Very helpful. Would recommend
Great help good advice, lead time can be over a month however by far worth the effort to book, take a list of questions and be ready expert help.
