Stay away at all costs — literally one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had & I’m shocked this firm is still in business given how they treat their clients — they ignore them. I’m am writing this review in pure desperation. I’ve been ghosted by the entire Shine team for almost two years. My first lawyer ignored me for a year — after almost 12 months of me chasing him down with emails to no avail. Only to file a complaint to their team and get changed to another lawyer because he wasn’t up to the job. The new lawyer did some digging and realized the first lawyer didn’t even understand the specifics of my case so we had to reset. I thought this was the start of a new chapter and wanted to give them a second chance — boy was I wrong. The second lawyer started to ghost me — claiming that my emails got lost with his paralegal. When I called to follow up, I finally got his new paralegal’s details (they seem to have a lot of turnover, unsurprisingly), who wasn’t able to provide any details on my case as my lawyer hadn’t communicated anything. Meantime, I’d sent ~6 emails to my lawyer over a 6 month period and did not receive a response from him once. I called again, and still nothing - I sent follow up emails to my lawyer and the paralegal, and still nothing. I sent two emails to their feedback/complaints email, and still nothing. I called back with reception again who said she couldn’t help. So in summary: - number of follow up emails chasing them down: 20+ - number of unanswered emails from my legal team: ~12 - number of unanswered emails from the feedback/complaints team: 2 - number of lawyers as the first couldn’t do his job: 2 - number of calls chasing down: 3-4 - duration: 21 months (almost 2 years) I was brutally attacked by a dog and hospitalized — it has been highly distressing to go through that and then be treated like this by my legal team who are supposed to be on my side. I deeply deeply regret bringing my business to shine lawyers. Don’t make the same mistake I did and choose this firm. Stay away at all costs.
Shine lawyers represented me in a injury claim & I didn't realize wen I signed the paperwork that they are taking 49% of they claim that I'm getting. If I relised that they were gonna get that much then I wud off went somewhere else. They say that I'm that criminal here LMFAO
I contacted many lawyers from different organisation to help me with lodging my claim but I had bad experience. I was losing hope to get a good lawyer who would listen and help me. My first impression when I spoke to Alex Lopes at Shine Lawyers was that he demonstrated respect by listening and reassuring me that he could help me. Alex has been helpful and supportive throughout the process. He was very patient, approachable and was always available to provide clarification when I did not understand something. I am so grateful that I contacted Shine Lawyers, I had a successful outcome thanks to Alex and his team. Keep up the good work Alex!
