Do Not expect professionalism from these "volunteers". I was on the phone today, a call back, I asked the TU rep to "please stop" talking as I wanted to ask something about a comment He had just made, he raised his voice, kept speaking, and despite my 3 x "can I please just ask you something " he continued to be loud and obnoxious. SEEK advice from The Commission.
I recently reached out via email concerning a complicated issue I'm currently facing with my tenancy. To their credit, a duty lawyer returned my call promptly the following day. Yet, I couldn't help but notice the lawyer's demeanor was not only disinterested but also unfriendly, bordering on exasperation. Given that I'm also in the legal profession, I found such a lack of professionalism quite disappointing, to put it mildly. Unfortunately, the lawyer was unable to provide any meaningful assistance for my situation, necessitating my reaching out to a full-service law firm for help instead.
Found my experience with tenacy dispute through Tenants Union was very helpfull .Very thougher and professional.
Shockingly biased in favour of tenants to the point of being unprofessional and hampering resolution. Did everything they could to avoid recompense where due. Went against their own published advice and perpetuated tenants lies and belligerence. Not good for tenant/client or owner/landlord. And they get get half a million a year to provide a service.
