When choosing a Defence Lawyer I ended up going with Nick Terry. Nick's knowledge, support and communication was outstanding! Nick knew his way around the court room, he was professional and very respected. He made the whole process more comfortable and a lot less stressful knowing I had him representing me, I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a defence lawyer. Thanks again Nick, Zoe (whom was also very helpful and supportive) and the team from The Defence Lawyers!
Extremely impressed with the effort from Oliver Heath. I liased with Oli quite a lot on a family members behalf during times when there perhaps couldn't be another means of communication. I'm certain that the effort over quite a complex series of issues, some civil, yet largely criminal, would make him stand out among peers, but as a client, I think it's the trust that can be truly appreciated by all. Whether a lawyer, doctor or barber, trust in my opinion is the fundamental currency on a pricing displayed via a service metric; without it, the wheels fall off. And on that, the Defence Lawyers have been extremely, and I mean extremely, fair in what they've done and their costs. They truly are a a great service in such an important industry to our society. I can confidently speak for the entire law firm, and am pleased to do so as I had met Nick Terry once, in court, while Oli, [as planned], was elsewhere for the day. To be frank; Nick, like Oli, is a cool as feller, and a phenomenal lawyer. He didn't break a sweat in court and achieved what started to seem impossible. He did so in flying colours, too. Later, after a google search, I learned he is one of the two founders and directors of the firm. That, plus knowing Oli, to me, clearly insinuates that there is a culture that is deeply rooted within the firm which any business, no matter their success or industry, would certainly benefit from. So rather than leaving a cliche epilogue, around rating more than 5 stars, if I could etc. I'd prefer to extend this review from a clients reading to include any potential lawyer or legal staff, who may have an opportunity to work for the Defence Lawyers. Should that opportunity eventuate, you'd be mad not to go for it. I'd say that they're likely one of the rare workplaces - plethora of knowledge and wealth of trust within a workplace of great, yet pleasantly ordinary people. Cheers cobba's.
The Defence Lawyers offered no defence. After having months to prepare for the hearing only days before Leo palmed me off to his junior colleague Alex. Against my wishes I was convinced by Alex not to contest the baseless FVRO but agree to a Conduct Order that had me removed from my 4 storey home that I owned prior to the relationship. The FVRO was clearly a tactic to commandeer my home and I have now spent over $40,000 on lawyers and barristers trying to regain possession of my home. I have also been arrested twice by the police for technical breaches of a Conduct Order that should never have been. I contacted Leo and his office numerous times to defend the breech charges but they never returned my calls or emails. If this company had of provided me a proper defence I would now not be in this position. Their incompetence has had such a negative impact on my life.
I had an amazing experience working with Nick Terry at "The Defence Lawyers". He was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in the courtroom and knew exactly how to navigate my case to get the best possible outcome. I couldn't be happier with the result and I attribute it all to Nick's expertise and hard work. He made the entire process smooth and stress-free, always keeping me informed and up-to-date throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend "The Defence Lawyers" and Nick Terry to anyone looking for a skilled and dedicated lawyer as they have made a stressful experience relatively stress-free at an honest and affordable cost.
I highly recommend The Defence Lawyers for their excellent work. They are helpful and understanding. Very professional.
