Carlos, the social worker, provided invaluable guidance and support, helping me navigate the emotional and practical challenges I faced. Candice, the legal student, demonstrated remarkable dedication and a keen understanding of the law, providing me with invaluable assistance. And Madeline, the admin lady, was always there with a warm smile and a helping hand, ensuring that every step of the process was smooth and efficient. The entire staff at the GCCL exudes a genuine commitment to helping those in need. Their professionalism, kindness, and unwavering support made all the difference in my journey. I am incredibly grateful for their assistance and highly recommend the Gold Coast Community Legal Centre to anyone seeking legal aid. Thank you, GCCL, for restoring my faith in the justice system and for giving me the tools I need to move forward with my life.
The entire team were and absolute delight from not just great legal advice but also very balanced conversation around the emotional toll of these situations as well and needing to consider every angle. For me it was such a great and informative consultation and I wanted to really highlight the time they made to give and share professional knowledge. I did not feel hurried or unheard rather very supported and listened to intuitively.
I went here for some legal advice and was unfortunately disappointed with this situation and experience š it seemed to be very rushed and trying to get out without actually assisting me, I left feeling more confused with the whole process than before I attended. The booking and confirmation process were good, just the actual lack of support provided- possibly just got someone who was new š
I scheduled an appointment on the 18th for the 1st or 2nd of November, but after not receiving a confirmation email, I followed up, only to be told that no appointment was recorded. This created confusion, and Iām unsure what went wrong during the booking process with the receptionist. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Attention all men who are respondents in DV matters, 'You will be stereotyped the moment you walk in'. No matter about any factual hard evidence that you have acquired to prove your case if they lodge the dv paperwork it is over! Community legal services are a joke . So many men's lives ruined over uninvestigated allegations!
