Encompass Legal and Community Services

Encompass Legal and Community Services is a not-for-profit legal centre that helps people in Perth's northern suburbs with legal and social support. It started in 1996 as Northern Suburbs Community Legal Centre.

The team includes solicitors, tenancy advocates, social workers, financial counsellors and older people's rights advocates. This means clients can get legal help and other support in one place. The centre helps with issues such as domestic violence, elder abuse, families, housing and money problems.

It also runs community and professional legal education, and it is a nationally accredited organisation.

Encompass has offices in Mirrabooka, Joondalup and Wanneroo, with the main office at 10 Cobbler Place, Mirrabooka. It serves mainly the northern suburbs, including the Cities of Stirling, Wanneroo, Joondalup and Bayswater. Some programs run across Perth or the whole state.

The centre offers legal help alongside non-legal support, with services for domestic violence, elder abuse, families, housing, financial matters, older people, women, men, young people, and migrants and refugees. Its multidisciplinary team includes solicitors, tenancy advocates and financial counsellors. It charges a fixed $30 appointment fee and no extra fee for legal advice. Document preparation costs $20 to $100, with lower fees for concession card holders.
