JobWatch

JobWatch is an independent, not-for-profit community legal centre that helps workers with their rights at work. It focuses on vulnerable and disadvantaged workers in Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania.

Workers can call its free and confidential Telephone Information Service for legal information and referrals. Its lawyers also take on cases, including unfair dismissal and general protections claims, workplace sexual harassment and discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, and work problems linked to family violence.

JobWatch has operated since 1980. It also publishes fact sheets and runs law reform and community legal education work.

JobWatch has its office in Melbourne, Victoria. Its Telephone Information Service takes calls from workers across Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania, while its legal casework supports Victorian workers.

JobWatch works only on employment law. Its lawyers help with unfair dismissal, general protections claims, workplace sexual harassment and discrimination, and workers affected by family violence. Its Telephone Information Service gives free legal information, and interpreters are available through TIS National.
