★★

My first and only experience with RMO was quite poor for a commercial property transaction. The communication was limited, fees were charged more than double a standard amount of the whole conveyancing journey just for contract review, and then they wanted more paid up front (and so I cancelled their service and engaged another conveyancing firm). It felt like the solitor worked for large coporations and kept billing time and asking for more money, asked for more funds to be added, up front with communication very rigid and not-friendly. As a first time commercial buyer, I did not understand the process and did not have easy/simple guidance, I had to find out along the way key issues and received advice from the selling agent on how to simplify items that became overly complex with the solicitor. I think having more phone conversations and the conveyancer involved up front at a lower cost and communicating and controlling the process would be better than having the soliticor handling all up front items and formalising 'written instruction' with questions/requests made it far too expensive for the size of investment, and a very poor client experience.
