I met Geoff while he was duty solicitor. I have never used a duty solicitor and didn't expect to need one. I was only attending for a minor matter, my understanding of simple legal process for was very limited. But I figured I had nothing to lose by running my matter past him (and it turns out, everything to gain). I was a lot more ignorant about the whole thing than I assumed. I benefited greatly from my conversation with Geoff. He took the time to get a sense of me personally and where I was at with my knowledge (i.e. lack of) and offered concise, practical, easy to understand options so I could make my own informed decisions. It was a brief, unexpected meeting. But he left me with an excellent first impression. It sounds like he's got some talent on board at Save U Legal. So, I'll be taking any future matters to him if ever I find myself in doubt about my legal position. Because even those public offices we hope we could trust are often clunky, clumsy and ultimately terribly flawed more often that those offices would ever admit (except when forced to when challenged before a court).
